TerribleAny other notes?
The worst organised race I've ever run. You were still handing out numbers 2 minutes before it was due to start. The route instructions were vague. Many of the marshals looked disinterested. I overtook the so called lead cyclist. The course was less than 10k and the guy started handing out trophies when only about 30 odd people had finished. For the money I'd have expected that maybe the course would have been closed off. I won't be back.
Over pricedAny other notes?
Shoddy medal, shoddy shirt, given cost to enter
Best race everAny other notes?
Amazing run i would come back every year
very badly organised.Any other notes?
Not a race I will do again. Although last years problem of number collection and race start time was sorted out there will still issues - course was too short. Having to queue for tshirt and medal is bad organisation - pack the carrier bags earlier and give them out on the finish line. Total waste of money.
Nice flat course, great for PBs.Any other notes?
Only problem was people kept getting in the way on the course, especially on the parts where runners were running on both sides of the path.
Lovely time of year to run on southampton commonAny other notes?
It is always nice to have the medal when you cross the finish line. Also I would certainly mark up the finish line more clearly so that people can start to sprint.
Great event, just needs chipped timesAny other notes?
Good eventAny other notes?
Good event which was marshaled well. Only bit to look at for the future was the bag drop (not secure) quite a few people including myself went back to the car with bags as leaving then in an open gazebo is not ideal.
Excellent support for everyone in spectacular place! Well done!Any other notes?
Marshalls were all supportive and polite. Maybe a technical t-shirt that you can wear for running (although this probably increases costs and isn't viable) and a couple more toilets would be useful. But overall, it was a lovely run, of all standards, friendly and hope it keeps going. Thank you all.
It needs work - looks amateurish, but the common is a lovely pace to run.Any other notes?
There should ideally be chip timing, and better event promotion should yield higher entrant numbers which would make it more fun.. The route round the common needs to be re-thought as the two "dead-ends" per lap are a bit tedious. The difference between marshals here at a "commercial" event and one organised by a club is noticeable. Some were encouraging; others more interested in their mobile phones. The common itself is lovely place to run, however.
Bad organisationAny other notes?
The race was around 200 metres short so wasn't 10k and therefore wasn't exact timings which was annoying. Also had to open big bottles of water and pour own drink if you wanted one. But I didn't bother because it would have messed my race time up. Very poor
Very well organised and the sun was shining!Any other notes?
Enjoyable run settingAny other notes?
Needs to have a secure bag drop off.Members of public on running route was a pain.More bins needed.Marshalls where encouraging. Other runners friendly.Better start / finish line would be nice.Difficulty obtaining results and photos ????? Overall good experience.
Glad to have done it.Any other notes?
Great route, loved the free milkshakes. Could not hear the instructions at start, and some marshals not as friendly/supportive as previous races I have been in (although some were smiling and encouraging).
Would be great to have time tagsAny other notes?
